i had multiple people decide to bone me, flake out, bail, leave me in the lurches this weekend.
it started off simply as in (situation 1 Friday morn), "hey i'm so sorry but i have a lot of work so do you mind if we meet up some other time?"
Me: Sure! No problem.
Then I got (situation 2 Friday afternoon), "Oh my god! I went to bed so late last night and I have to meet up with someone to finish a project and it's a two hour drive and I'm being such a bad friend to everyone in the world do you mind if we just meet up for five minutes? No? Okay, let's see if next week works out better!"
Me: You do what you have to do!
Finally, (situation 3 Saturday-Sunday) "I'm so drunk right now. Can you give me directions to this guys house? I know i shouldn't drive...thanks...you're a life saver" (then later...three hours into the wee hours) "hey, i'm going to stay here tonight but we can meet up tomorrow morning for breakfast." (morning comes...and goes...) "hey, I'm coming over to hang out. God, I'm so full I just had the best breakfast ever."
Me: Stupid people. You make my ass twitch.
A revisit to situation 2 (Sunday afternoon) "Ack! I'm so busy! I've been down here with my boyfriend all weekend and I still have to do that homework assignment. Feel sorry for me! I'm so busy! What's your name again?"
I interpret all these situations to mean that no one loves me anymore and I need new friends.
