but in the spirit of chance, i blog. worst word ever, by the way, is blog.
Last night I watched a movie called La Cuidad about the Mexican immigrant experience in New York City for my Urban experiences class. I don't think I was in the appropriate mood for this cinematic experience because I found myself craving a Will Farrel cameo, which is rare. I think it's hard to capture immigrant angst in only 88 minutes. Speaking of angst, the writer/director definitely had a bone to pick with the Asian community.
Speaking of urban experiences, I was talking to my brother's friend, Lynwood, yesterday and had a hilarious encounter. First of all, when you come across a person on their laptop typing with a Word Document open, the question, "What are you doing?" is pretty ridiculous. Lynwood didn't think so and wasn't satisfied with my answer, "Typing." I ended up giving him a five second run down of the "Blade Runner" paper. He then asked, "What class is this for?" I replied, "Urban Experience." He then pointed to himself, "Urban Experience."
I thought this was hilarious.
I finished the "Blade Runner" pape this morning. There aren't a lot of movies that I can watch seven times in a row and still find things to be excited about (with exception to Underworld and Kiera Knightly movies as I want to live in her lap). Blade Runner is one of those movies. Even though Sean Young is a sloppy drunk these days, back in 1982 she was fantastical.
The rest of this morning's activities included: a fancy, albeit sloppy, sparkly red nail job, TiVo episodes of Jeopardy!, and a cold can of Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry.
I'm guessing a shower and maybe some personal grooming might show up on the menu at some point. Then class. Then maybe some more Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry. Probably some carrots. And a Wheat Thin. These are the reasons I do not blog.
Here's the best picture ever.
