I started working at Borders this past week. Minus being surrounded by my three favorite things (books, music, and movies), the job absolutely blows goats. People who work retail are insanely bitter and insanely fake. You have to be nice to customers but at the same time you are required to observe said customers with distain so as to have something to commiserate on with your coworkers. That is of course unless your coworkers have decided that you are the scum of the earth and not to be spoken to for any reason other than to make you feel STUPID for not being completely familiar with Borders product and policies. F that in the B hole.
I've only worked two days so far (tonight is my third...poop) and I am already disgruntled and 100% bitter.
There is a silver lining. I was only hired for the holidays and I have a part time job organizing a seemingly very nice producer dude. Hopefully, I organize well and it turns into a full time assisting job.
I'm watching High Fidelity right now. I love this movie. I love this John Cusack. I really love this Tim Robbins
Tom comes home today from MI. Of course I'm working until midnight. Of course I'm working all day tomorrow as well. F Borders.
